WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a senior automation and controls engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing industrial equipment. You will:
ü Develop and optimize controls strategies for production equipment in industrial environments;
ü Oversee the implementation of new automation and data analysis solutions to improve equipment productivity and reliability;
ü Diagnose and solve complex controls problems;
ü Use automated data analysis technologies to detect anomalies;
ü Diagnose anomalies, propose solutions and support customers in implementing them;
ü Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve industrial processes and minimize production downtime;
ü Train and coach technical teams in the use of automated solutions and industrial performance optimization.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a candidate with strong expertise in industrial environments and a proven ability to improve the reliability and performance of production equipment. You have:
ü A university degree in electrical engineering, automation, instrumentation or a related field;
ü 5 to 10 years’ experience in an industrial environment;
ü Excellent command of programmable logic controllers (PLC);
ü Ability to program, optimize and troubleshoot automated systems;
ü Experience with industrial control systems: pneumatics, hydraulics and electronics;
ü In-depth knowledge of AC/DC motor controls;
ü Expertise in low-voltage (600V) electrical distribution;
ü Ability to analyze data and exploit predictive maintenance solutions;
ü Fluency in French and/or English (spoken and written);
ü Available for occasional travel in North America.
